Growing up in Rwanda, we used to eat Cassava flour and Hot sauce stew meats sauce and other African food variety on daily basis. Meals were always fresh and yummy because it was cooked daily.
When I moved to the U.S, the most popular meal I could easily find and afford was mostly burgers and fries. Don’t get me wrong, I love cheese Burgers and fries but eating them on a daily basis became boring and unhealthy.
I was looking for more variety food. I knew I wasn’t alone because the U.S is a country of many Immigrant who probably shared the same thought. It was also an opportunity for me to introduce to my fellow Americans the Rwandan/African food. Often African food is underrepresented on the global stage, it was an opportunity for me to let the world know that Rwanda/Africa has very good food with high hygiene quality standard.
I decided to start selling popular product from Rwanda/Africa on Amazon on June, 21st, 2016. Gentil’s shop Amazon introduced it’s first product, Akabanga Hot Sauce. This sauce proved to be popular in the U.S.A as it is in its native country of Rwanda. Gentil’s shop Amazon have sold thousand and still counting on Amazon alone. The reviews are fantastic as well.
Gentil’s shop Amazon was also the first to add Gorilla’s coffee and Kinazi Cassava flour on Amazon in August 2017 and our latest introduction is Akanozo product line up including Roasted Soy Beans, Fermented Sorghum Flour, Sorghum Flour and Millet Flour introduced in July 2018.
In August 2018 Gentil’s shop branched out into the pet treats supplies. Growing up I had a dog named Bobby, he was a german shepherd. I loved him so much because he was very smart, loyal and protective. I dedicate this product line up to him. I will never sell product I would never give him. We love our pets and we would like to feed them healthy natural treats. Having an experience with all natural pet treats for more than 2 years, Gentil’s shop choose to introduce the first product. We started with 6 and 12 inch 15 sticks, these are a perfect treats for your dog if he or she is not an aggressive chewer.
